Noorio App FAQ: Setup Troubleshooting

Setup Troubleshooting

The device won't connect / setup fails repeatedly

  • Re-press and hold SYNC until the LED flashes blue. If there's no voice prompt, charge 10–30 minutes and retry.
  • Turn off VPN/proxy and mobile data; connect the phone to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
  • In your phone's Wi-Fi list, forget any "Noorio_xxxx" / "Cloud_xxxx" temporary network, then retry.
  • Reboot your phone and try again.

App says "Failed to connect to Wi-Fi" or can't find my Wi-Fi

  • Confirm both phone and device are within 2.4 GHz coverage (5 GHz-only bands aren't supported by 2.4 GHz cameras). Give the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks different names.
  • Double-check the password (case-sensitive, watch special characters).
  • If the wrong network shows, tap Switch Wi-Fi and pick the correct 2.4 GHz one.
  • Disable router MAC filtering / blacklist, or add the device's MAC (under the QR code) to the whitelist.
  • Disable AP Isolation on the router.
  • Move the device closer to the router; avoid walls and metal obstructions.
  • Noorio devices connect on channels 1–11 of 2.4 GHz with WPA/WPA2 encryption. Use an English-letter Wi-Fi name if possible.

Persistent connection problems (usually phone settings)

  • iPhone: Settings → Mobile Data → turn off; Settings → Wi-Fi → "Ask to Join Networks" → Ask. If still failing, Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Reset → Reset Network Settings, then retry.
  • Samsung/Android: forget the saved "Noorio_xxxx" network (Settings → Connections → Wi-Fi → Advanced → Manage Networks); turn off "Switch to Mobile Data"; if needed, Reset → Reset Network Settings, then retry.

No voice prompt / LED doesn't flash when I press SYNC

  • Charge with a DC 5V/2A adapter for 6–8 hours, then retry.
  • If still unresponsive, contact support with the device MAC/setup code (under the QR code) and a short video: plug into the DC 5V/2A charger, hold SYNC 2–5 seconds, and show your phone's Wi-Fi/Bluetooth list to confirm whether the "NOORIO" hotspot/device appears.

The device has a voice prompt but won't finish pairing

It may still be bound to another Noorio account. Log in to the original account, delete the device, then add it again with your current account.

Can't connect to the server

  • Place the camera next to the router and remove obstacles; reboot the router.
  • Disable the router's firewall / proxy / IP rules. (Xfinity users: disable the firewall or open port 50120. Some routers: set gateway/DNS to 8.8.8.8.)
  • Hotel / captive-portal / free Wi-Fi that needs a web login is not supported — use a different network.
  • Hold SYNC 10+ seconds to reset, then re-add. If it persists, the server may be busy — try again later, or contact support@nooriolife.com.

I can watch live view on Wi-Fi but not on cellular data

Send us your setup code and camera details and we'll add your camera to our temporary server whitelist.

How do I enable 2.4 GHz on my router? (e.g., AT&T)

This is a router setting. Log in to your router (the IP address and credentials are usually printed on the bottom of the router) and enable the 2.4 GHz band, or search your ISP's guide (e.g., "AT&T enable 2.4 GHz"). If unsure, contact your internet provider.
