Noorio App FAQ: Device Troubleshooting
Device Troubleshooting
My device keeps going offline
- Low battery can cause offline status — keep the battery healthy (above ~15%).
- Weak Wi-Fi — move the device near the router and observe for 1–2 days. Outdoors, weak signal is the most common cause; use a Wi-Fi extender or the Smart Hub to boost the signal.
- Update the firmware — this resolves many connectivity issues.
- Press and hold SYNC 10 seconds to reset, then re-add the device and observe for 1–2 days.
- If it persists, a Smart Hub is recommended. (Wired devices like CD200: unplug and replug power; if far from the router, use Ethernet.)
The camera won't charge / stays offline / shows a solid light
Use a DC 5V/2A adapter, charge ~2 hours, hold SYNC 10 seconds to reset. The charging light won't stay on the whole time — check battery status in the app, and update firmware if possible. If unresponsive, record a video (SYNC held 2–5 s while plugged into the DC 5V/2A charger) and check whether a "NOORIO" hotspot appears in your Wi-Fi list, then contact support.
Firmware update keeps failing
Contact support — our team can initiate a forced firmware update. The camera may be briefly offline during the process.
The image is half black / red / can't see clearly
This can be caused by ICR damage in transit. Gently tap the camera to see if the image returns to normal; if not, contact support (a 30-day return/exchange applies).
The image is black-and-white
Night Vision mode is on. Go to Device Settings → Video Settings → Video Mode and choose Color Vision / Full Color.
The spotlight/floodlight won't turn on, or won't turn on with the alarm
Set Video Mode to Full Color Mode (Device Settings → Video Settings) — the light turns on automatically when motion is detected in the dark. If it still doesn't work, reset the device by reconfiguring the network. Spotlight is light-sensitive and only activates in a dark environment; you can also toggle it manually from the live view page.
The device makes an abnormal or continuous beeping sound
This is often caused by water damage / a short in the SYNC button (e.g., rain exposure). A 30-day free return/exchange applies — contact support.
The "No SD Card" message appears during playback (B200-SE / B210-SE)
- Update to the latest firmware: pull to refresh the device's main page to trigger the upgrade. Charge 2–3 hours and stay near the router during the update. Path: Camera Settings → About Device → Firmware Version → Upgrade.
- If no update is pushed, check About Device → Software Version; if there's still no prompt, send us the device MAC (under the QR code) and we'll add you to the upgrade whitelist.
- If already on the latest version: open live view → Settings → Storage → Local Storage → Clear Storage, then reset and re-add the device. If it persists, send the MAC to support.
The image is upside down
Adjust the installation angle, or set 180-degree Rotation in Video Settings. If it persists, send support a screenshot of the live view.
How do I retrieve deleted/lost recordings?
Contact support with your account details so we can check. (We recommend cloud storage to avoid losing recordings.)
I scanned a code and it charged me / opened an unknown website
That is not from Noorio. Only download the Noorio app from Google Play or the App Store and follow its setup instructions.
How do I collect device logs for support?
App home → profile picture (top-left) → Settings → Diagnostic Tools → Device Log Diagnosis → select your device model and upload the log. This helps our technical team analyze the issue.
What is the device's night-vision range?
Roughly 19–26 feet (≈6–8 m) at night.
What operating temperature is supported?
Recommended −20 °C to 50 °C (−4 °F to 122 °F). Some customers report reliable use in colder outdoor conditions, but performance is only guaranteed within the recommended range.
