Noorio App FAQ: Battery, Charging & Solar

Battery, Charging & Solar

How long does the battery last?

A full charge lasts about 3–6 months (up to 6 months under lab conditions), depending on trigger frequency, recording length, network quality, and temperature.

My battery drains quickly

  • Cold weather reduces battery performance (operating range −20 °C to 50 °C).
  • Frequent false triggers — lower motion sensitivity or reposition the camera.
  • Weak Wi-Fi / frequent reconnections — move the camera closer to the router.
  • Make sure firmware is up to date (older firmware had a sleep-mode bug that drained battery).
  • For outdoor use, consider a Noorio solar panel and cloud storage.

The button doesn't respond / the camera won't charge

Fully charge the camera, then press and hold the power/SYNC button for ~10 seconds to reset. Use a DC 5V/2A adapter and note the charging light does not stay on the whole time — check battery status in the app. A very low battery can also keep the device offline until it reconnects to Wi-Fi.

I can't find the charging port

The battery is built in (not replaceable) and lasts for years. There's a silicone plug on the back of the device — gently open it (e.g., with a spoon handle) to reach the charging port. Always reseal it tightly after charging for outdoor use.

How do I use / charge with the solar panel?

  • In the app, set Power Management → Power Source → Solar Panel.
  • Install the panel facing the sun in a well-lit area and keep it always connected to the camera.
  • Ensure the waterproof cover is tight to prevent water damage.

The solar panel isn't charging the device

  • Confirm the power source is set to Solar Panel in the app.
  • Try a different cable to rule out a cable fault.
  • Confirm the panel is receiving good sunlight (test by charging a phone with it, if possible).
  • If it still won't charge, record a short video for our team to review.
