How do I charge the camera's battery?

  1. Charging a rechargeable camera

Use the power adapter and cable specified for the exact model. For models rated for DC 5V/2A charging, use a compatible DC 5V/2A adapter and a known-good cable. Always-powered models must remain connected to their specified supply and do not follow battery-charging steps.

A deeply depleted battery may not show an indicator immediately. Charge for about 10 minutes and check again. If there is still no response, continue charging until a total of about 3 hours, then hold the SYNC/RESET button for about 10 seconds and check for an indicator or voice response. Older IVP devices use SYNC; newer devices use RESET. The three-hour point is a diagnostic check, not confirmation of a full charge. A depleted battery may require at least 8 hours, depending on the model.

Indicator colours and charging behaviour vary by model. An offline device's displayed battery level is its last reported value, not a real-time charging measurement.

Solar charging

Fully charge the camera with its specified supply before connecting a compatible solar panel. Install the panel in a sunny position, generally tilted about 30–45 degrees, and keep its surface clean to avoid affecting normal power supply. Check that connections are dry, secure and properly sealed.

Older IVP models such as B200, B210, B300 and B310 have a solar power setting under the camera's battery/power management settings. Other models may use different controls; follow the model's actual app interface. Solar charging varies with sunlight and usage and does not guarantee uninterrupted operation.
