How to add a Smart Hub device?
I. Basic Setup Steps for Smart Hub (First-time Network Configuration)
- Mobile Phone Preparation: First, connect to your home router's WiFi (the device only supports 2.4G WiFi, not 5G WiFi).
- Hardware Connection: Plug the power cable and network cable into the Hub. At this time, the device's red light will stay on, indicating that the power supply is normal.
- Enter Network Configuration Mode: Press and hold the device's reset/sync button for about 10 seconds. Release the button after hearing a voice prompt or seeing the blue light flash (for devices with short-press network configuration, press and hold the sync button for 2-5 seconds, and release it after hearing the prompt or seeing the blue light flash).
- APP Operation: Open the corresponding APP, scan the QR code on the bottom/back of the device, and click "Next".
- Device Settings: Select the device group, set the device name, and click "Next".
- Network Connection: Enter your home WiFi password in the corresponding step of the APP (if the WiFi name is displayed incorrectly, you can manually switch to the correct WiFi).
- Complete Pairing: When the device indicator is flashing, directly click "Next". The APP will automatically search for the device's hotspot and complete the connection. After successful pairing, the device's blue light will stay on.
II. Steps to Switch Hub from Wired Network to WiFi Connection (Operate after Basic Setup is Completed)
- Enter the Hub settings interface, find and click "Network Settings".
- Select the "Change WiFi Network" option.
- Select your home's 2.4G WiFi from the WiFi list, enter the correct password, and click connect.
- After receiving the "WiFi connection successful" prompt, simply unplug the Hub's network cable to complete the switch.
III. Steps to Connect Camera to Hub
- Adding a Camera to Hub for the First Time
In the "Connect to Network" step when adding a camera in the APP, directly select the "Hub" option, and then follow the APP prompts to complete the operation; ensure that the camera and Hub are added to the same location group.
- Associating a Camera that has been Added Separately with Hub
Enter the device settings page of the camera, click "Network→Change Wi-Fi Network→Hub" in sequence, and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the connection; ensure that the camera and Hub are in the same location group.
Note: The Hub works better when connected to 4 or fewer cameras. It is not recommended to connect more than 4 cameras.
