# Why no recording on SD card?

1. Distinguish missing recordings from playback failure

Check the selected camera, date, time zone and local-storage playback source. An event entry that cannot play is different from an event that was never recorded. A recognized SD card does not by itself confirm successful recording.

Recording and storage settings

Check the card status and the recording mode available for the exact model. A disabled recording mode prevents recording. For event recording, check detection settings and schedules. Continuous recording is available only on supported models.

If no update is in progress, restart the camera where appropriate and create a new test event. Check whether a new recording is saved and can be played. Persistent failure needs further storage and device checks; it does not by itself prove that the card is read-only or the camera slot is faulty.

Protect existing footage

Do not clear storage or format the card as the first step. Back up accessible recordings before changes. If reseating is appropriate, power off before removing or inserting the card. A known-good compatible card can help narrow down the cause. Formatting is a later targeted step, using the model's supported file system, and erases recordings.

B200-SE/B210-SE playback exception

For compatible B200-SE/B210-SE hardware affected by the playback issue, firmware 1.1.0.1292 is the applicable update. Hardware compatibility must be verified before an update is offered. If no update appears, support can check the device using the app account or MAC. This version must not be applied to other hardware solely because the sales model name looks similar.
