# Noorio App FAQ: Setup Troubleshooting

Setup troubleshooting

Identify the affected device and the failed step

Useful diagnostic information includes the exact camera model and MAC/serial number, the app used, the error message, when the issue started and the steps already attempted. A clear device-label photo and a relevant screenshot or short video help identify the issue. Passwords and payment verification codes must not be included.

Choose the correct connection method

The supported Wi-Fi band and pairing method depend on the exact model, including its suffix. Follow the model's instructions in the app. Noorio BF200 uses 4G only, does not support Wi-Fi and requires Noorio Plus. A setup hotspot is only for models whose app-guided setup uses it; it is unrelated to a cloud-storage subscription. Bluetooth-assisted and QR-code pairing methods must not be substituted for each other.

Before adding or reconfiguring a Wi-Fi camera

Use the official app, suitable power and a location near the router. Temporarily turn off the phone's VPN, mobile data and dual-Wi-Fi/network acceleration. Connect the phone to one home Wi-Fi network supported by the camera, usually 2.4 GHz unless the exact model supports another band. Grant the permissions required by the app. Restore normal phone network settings after setup.

Enterprise-authentication networks and networks requiring a browser sign-in page are not supported. Check the supported band, signal strength, network name and password. Enter the password privately in the app. A network name alone does not establish its frequency band. During temporary-hotspot pairing, remain connected even if the phone reports no Internet, then return to the app.

Router and server connection checks

Check that the home network has Internet access and that router access controls are not blocking the camera. Where appropriate, use the router's supported band-selection procedure. For repeated disconnections, consider distance, intervening walls, connected-device limits and available upload bandwidth. Do not broadly disable router security, open arbitrary ports or change unrelated network settings.

Account-binding errors

An explicit already-bound error requires the authorized sharing or ownership-transfer process. Changing phones or reinstalling the app does not itself require deleting the camera or creating a new account. A pairing failure alone does not prove that another account owns the device.

No indicator or response

For a compatible rechargeable camera with a depleted battery, the indicator may not light immediately after power is connected. Charge for about 10 minutes and check again. If it remains off, continue charging for a total of 3 hours, then hold SYNC/RESET for about 10 seconds and check for an indicator or voice response. This is a diagnostic checkpoint, not confirmation of a full charge. A depleted battery may require at least 8 hours for full charging, depending on the model. Older IVP devices use SYNC; newer devices use RESET.

Use the power supply specified for the model and a known-good compatible cable and outlet. Always-powered cameras must remain connected to their specified supply and do not follow battery-charging steps. No power is different from an offline camera whose controls still respond. If a suitable power source does not restore a response, a short video showing the indicator and attempted steps can support technical review.

Already added but offline

For Wi-Fi cameras, check whether the installation position, router, network name or password changed. If the network information is unchanged, move the camera near the router where practical, connect suitable power and allow a battery camera to charge, then restart the router. Check whether the camera reconnects. Do not interrupt a firmware update. Reconfiguration should only follow the exact model's instructions when necessary.

For BF200 4G, do not remove an already-added camera to troubleshoot an offline status. Check data availability in Noorio Plus and purchase the required data if necessary. Removing the camera without an active data plan may prevent it from being added again. A clear photo of the camera's QR-code label helps support check the device. With valid data, check power and 4G signal; unresolved cases require technical review.

Live view or playback fails

Temporarily disable the phone's VPN and retry. If the issue remains, compare Wi-Fi with mobile data on the phone. This comparison is for viewing problems; during Wi-Fi camera pairing, use the single-Wi-Fi setup steps above. Note the error, occurrence time and time zone, and provide a relevant video or screenshot and app logs when requested.

Further support

Unresolved issues require the device information, exact error, app/phone versions and results of the checks already attempted. Diagnostic-log menus vary by app and model. Resetting, removing a device, clearing recordings or formatting storage requires a specific reason and an explanation of its impact; these are not default steps for every failure.
