# Noorio App FAQ: Notifications

Notifications

First confirm the affected model/MAC, phone OS/app version and whether the camera recorded an event but no alert arrived, or did not detect/record the event at all. Note an exact test time/time zone.

Check the camera is powered and reachable. For the exact model, check motion/person detection, push notifications, the active Security mode, and any schedule/geofencing rule. If a mode is not supported, use the camera's individual notification controls. Recording, phone push alerts and the camera siren are separate settings.

On the phone, allow Noorio notifications and the relevant alert categories, and check Do Not Disturb/Focus, muted notifications and background/battery restrictions. Grant only permissions needed for the feature. In-app alerts may have a separate switch. A shared account's available controls and notifications depend on the model/app and sharing permissions: compare with the owner's account without sharing its password; do not claim every shared device can or cannot receive alerts.

Run one controlled motion test and compare the event list with notification delivery. Adjust sensitivity/detection zone gradually to reduce moving branches or glare while preserving the area to monitor. Do not delete/re-add the camera just to expose an option. If unresolved, provide test time, relevant settings screenshots and the steps/results already tried.

Motion vs. person alerts
Where the model and current firmware expose separate controls, select the event categories you need. If an option is absent, verify model, firmware and service entitlement rather than resetting the device.

Live-stream alerts
If the app displays a live-stream duration reminder on a battery camera, use the available Live Streaming Alert control for that device. Options and intervals vary; do not promise that it can be disabled or impose a universal interval.

Doorbell calls
For a supported doorbell/app, enable its doorbell-call/VoIP notification option and the phone permissions required for calls. Check the exact device and notification settings if calls do not arrive.
