About firmware updates

Check Camera Settings > About Device > Firmware Version for an available update in the current app, and follow the exact model's displayed instructions. Update requirements and completion time vary with the device/version and network; a historical version or a universal 15-minute estimate should not be treated as current.

Confirm the exact model/MAC, current and target firmware versions, update time/time zone, error/progress shown, and whether the issue started during or after the update. Maintain suitable power and a stable network. Do not disconnect power, repeatedly retry or reset while an update may still be running. If the app clearly reports failure and the device is responsive, refresh its status and follow the model-specific update instructions. Persistent failure or new abnormal behaviour needs technical review before another attempt. Do not promise a forced upgrade, downgrade or remote fix; these require device-specific verification. Do not clear storage or delete/re-add the camera solely to make an upgrade proceed.
